Women Empowerment

Women Empowerment

In India, women continue to be marginalized — socially, politically, and economically — due to their lack of access to education, health, employment, training, technology, market and credit. Within the poor segment, women and children are the most vulnerable segment. Women’s labour participation rate also has come down from 36.7% in 2005 to 26% in 2018 and there are 195 million (95% of total) women in the unorganized sector or unpaid work. Hence, the need of the hour is to promote inclusive growth with a focus on women empowerment.
